Like we said in the last round, Ol’ Jimbo loves him a good Swedish Defenceman. So much so, that he went and drafted another one. While he may not be a Man Of A Thousand Faces, he just might be a man we can expect patrolling the blue lines a few years from now.
Here’s my take on Hugo Gabrielson from a few weeks ago. pic.twitter.com/44DPvwObAQ

While he may not have the size and strength of his fellow countryman Jonathan Myrenberg, there’s definitely some upside to his game.
I've got no issues with VAN's most 6th rounder, Hugo Gabrielson

Highly mobile, left-shot defender out of the Swedish J20 in the Frolunda organization. Planning to play in the Allsvenskan next season
Offensive upside, the defensive game still a work in progress
Kid can skate
Long shot? Yes. But this team has had more than one late rounder go on to a decent enough career. We’ll track his development next season, and see how he progresses, but this seems like a decent gamble by the Canucks.
