Nucks (the ones left) Play a Bad Game And Aren’t Rewarded For It

First the good news. This game has settled the Nuck Luck Fact or Fiction debate.

FACT.

Nucks are not making the playoffs. Really?

Yes, really. This roster of leftover players can’t win the next 15-17 games.

This means that JB can sell by the TDL. If some one of those those players will be returned by the Faeries - who are gorging on centers and forwards. Usually it’s Nucks D they hanker for. Weird season.

The rest is bad news. Best to stop reading now.

THE FEDLERING

The Nucks were in it early, until Fedler took them out of it in usual pylon style.

Not only did the Nucks lose the game - despite Demmers keeping them in the game until the early 3rd - Nucks lost Capt’n Bo!

Bo was hit by a Fedler shot on the unprotected foot area of the skate.

I know, why would Eddie Fedle our captain, when we’re already missing 3 centers? Ok, I don’t know. Probably unlucky - but typical Nucking luck.

I know, why in this age of armour-plating is there still an unprotected part of the foot? Ok, I don’t know that either.

What do I know? Zack, when he came out of the box, came into the zone uncontested shouldn’t have shot the puck into the goalie crest. Instead could’ve passed to Miller for a sure goal post.

The Nuck luck ran interference on almost every good shot (not that there were many) the Nucks had. Nucks and their luck hit at least 6 posts in the game. Game thread was going postal too.

The mighty Demmers is mortal and falls victim to Nuck Puck Luck. And the Fedling. I’m calling it now. Bench Eddie. Let Olli play. At least he knows when not to pylon.

It was a game the over-matched Nucks didn’t seem likely to win. Turns out... even get on the board. Or keep their remaining top 6 center.

This game sucked.

No, really. All 4 Nucking centers that started the season are now playing drinking games with the Faeries. Ugh.

Maybe Bo will bull his way back on Wednesday... but if not...

No new news on Bo, Pete, Sutter. The news probably wouldn’t be good anyhow.

At least we can take some solace that this is the last time the Nucks face the Jets.

Until Wednesday. OMG! We’re doomed! All over again.

Unless... Loui, after 50 long $6M per of contract years, displays uncanny centering, skating and scoring abilities.

Ok... even being optimistically sarcastic, that’s not funny. Sorry. But, there’s some light at the end of the gloomy tunnel.

Not this season, but still... only 20 more games of gloom and we can put our NM Focus of Doom on next season. So that’s something to gloom over with glee.

If Bo is out for weeks or the season, the Nucks won’t be fun to watch. And there’s not been that many games there were fun to watch with Bo.

Without Bo. It’s a no-go.
