Gamethread #26: Canucks vs Jets

Did you enjoy your 21 hours of victory? Road games don’t get much better than that for the Canucks. Score some early goals and then fend off the eventual pushback from the Jets and get your goalie a shutout.

Is it too much to ask for that same style again tonight?

Will the Jets come out hitting tonight? That would be my guess. If they know anything about Vancouver, they would hit every single Canuck logo they see for the first 5 minutes to see if the Nucks cough it up . The Canucks defensemen needs to get shots through to the net so others can deflect them in. Sounds simple. Adam Gaudette needs to score. All those predicted goals are just going to waste.

Momentum in the right direction has only come once this year at the expense of Ottawa. Two victories in a row, in Winnipeg would definitely bring some of that momentum when they face Toronto on Thursday. Sorry...I was dreaming big again.

Well, at the very least, a victory tonight would make Winnipeg’s playoff chances a little more difficult.
