Gamethread #31: Canucks vs Oilers

Can the Canucks stop the McDavid show?

NHL: Toronto Maple Leafs at Vancouver Canucks Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

I did it. I put Loui’s picture up. He’s our $6 million man. (Well, him and Tyler Myers) And I think in the picture, a Canucks had scored....I doubt it was Loui, unless it was an empty net.

Is Loui playing tonight? I doubt it. The real question is, are the Canucks going to play tonight? The three game winning streak was quickly knocked out of the sky by a one-sided loss to the Habs. I had good feelings during the winning streak and a loss killed that pretty quick. I think the shortened season has that effect. Magnification of the roller coaster ride that are the Canucks.

The Canucks face Edmonton for the 43rd time this year...or 5th time. The Oilers have won the last three against Vancouver and they are in 2nd place in the division. McDavid has hit 50 points in the season and has taken over games by himself quite a few times this year. So, it might take a full 60 minute game by the Nucks to try and get a win.

Tomorrow time springs ahead....yes!m No more late starts for me.

Go Canucks Go!
