THE FUGLY:
Where to start? At the beginning? Ok. For the seemingly 15th time, the Nucks give up a couple early goals in the 1st. The team is fragile - haven’t come back this season on the road (or at home) when down. And now they’re tired and fragile. Except Loui. He’s fresh and ready to play tired and slow.
They knew they had to start better - just like the previous 3 games. And just like the previous games, they didn’t start better. They weren’t ready. Again.
Tonight it was Eddie taking 2 penalties early - to be fair the PK killed 1 out of 2. The next goal was a fail to clear and another view of how Chatty isn’t ready for the big leagues.
Few Nucks are ready for the big leagues.

Not to put too fine a point on it.. but nearly the entire team needs a definition of the term ‘team’. The Nucks aren’t playing for each other or trusting each other. Or trusting their systems.
Nucks are playing like a group of frustrated, disconnected individuals in a Covidian bubble.
The nerves are fraying and Holtby is putting the stink eye on... Miller.
Altho JT did score a goal in the 2nd period - it just didn’t count, because Nucks luck. To be fair, Miller did back check at least once. Early in the game before his legs turned to mush.
They were some good Nucks shifts - statistically had to happen - but not 60 minutes of them. Not 45 minutes. Maybe 20(ish) 10(ish).

It was bad enough playing another game in the CoTU - but it gets worse, playing another game in the CoTU on HNIC. Double troubling...

The losing streak is scheduled to be capped at 5 games. Monday can’t come and leave the CoTU quickly enough.
The old hockey adage about not getting too high or too low might be worth remembering. The Nucks high was months ago. The lows can still get lower. So...
The Enlightened Hockey gurus state not to focus on outcomes. Just stay in the moment, focus on the process. But, the Nucks process is terrible!
Maybe best to not focus at all. But, the Nucks are already not focusing....
