Gamethread #18: Canucks vs Flames

I noticed that I have been using Brandon Sutter’s picture a lot in the gamethreads. That might have something to do with the Canucks record or it could be the fact he is foundational. You decide.

I want to go on record right now. If Francesco Aquilini decides to hire Mike Gillis as GM again, I’m out. He wasn’t very good the first time. He hasn’t changed his mentality. In fact, the Penguins decided to go with Brian Burke over him. Pittsburgh chose Burke.......

I talk of GM spots because if the Canucks crap the bed again tonight, there will probably be changes in management next week. And even though I don’t think a change of coach and GM will fix anything, you do have to think of the negotiation between Petey/Hughes and this offseason and ask the question, “Do you trust GMJB to sign them to a deal they will like?”

If I am Calgary, I just play Markstrom ever game against his old team. He might rack a perfect record against them.

I sound bitter. I am. Canucks need a win tonight.
