The first game in the Rutherford era.
I hope it’s as good as the Smyl era was.
Judging a person by their history can lead to lots of different conclusions, especially you try and make predictions about them in the future. I don’t claim to know about Jim Rutherford. He has a proven track record of success in Carolina and Pittsburgh. He also has a very abrupt exit from his last GM gig in the NHL, so I hope his tenure as interim GM is short.
The Canucks are looking for their first three game winning streak of the year. The last time the Canucks and Jets met, the Canucks won that game. Eric Comrie was the goal for the Jets and I believe he will be again tonight. The Canucks may see a lot of back up goalies over December. If they can take advantage of that situation, they might become more relevant in January.
I am really hoping Petey can find a way to relax and get to the spots of the ice to shoot more. Having said that, I hope BB realizes that penalty shots and shootouts are not Petey’s area of expertise.
Is three in a row too much to ask for....I don’t think so.
GO CANUCKS GO!
