Couldn’t we just bask in the glow of the last victory for one day longer?
The Canucks end the opening road trip of the year in a sleepy little village called Seattle. Seattle was named after Chief Si’ahl was the leader of both the Suquamish and Duwamish people in the area. It could have been named Vancouver if George would have stuck around. Vancouver and Seattle have a long history of playing hockey against each other.....over 100 years ago. So tonight renews the rivialry.
On paper, the Kraken defense is better defensively that the Canucks, but no one seems to have told the Kraken that yet. The Kraken have allowed almost 4 goals a game on the 5 game road trip to open the season. They have also had trouble scoring...by the way, Jared McCann leads the team with 5 points.
Canuck fans will be closely watching Petey tonight to see if he has a pulse. His terrible faceoff percentage and Tanner Pearson-like shooting percentage have people wondering why $7 million+ has ruined him.
Let’s cheer for a ruined home opener for the Kraken!
