Sweep complete.
It’s a 3 GAME NUCKS WINNING STREAK!!!
Savour this moment. Not saying this is the longest win streak we’ll get this season. But it’s the longest W-streak we’ll see this season.
T H R E E Game W I N Streak!!!
Can’t type that enough. Not just because it’s the only chance I’ll get to type that phrase, but why take the chance.
The last home game before the long dark hockey time of the Nucking fan’s soul.
Until then, the Nucks are top of the league division’s middle class.
We’re #4!!! We’re #4!!! We’re #4!!!
We have as many points as the Jets who we play and lose to on Saturday.
Until then it’s a... T H R E E Game NUCKS W I N Streak!!!
Canucks have played 10 games and have 10 points. We’re a point-a-game team. How cool is that? (rhetorical q for those answering at home)
THE GOOD:
Hoggie is Top 5 in the league in puck battles. Top 5. Nils, a 10 game rookie in the NHL, is already elite in the puck hound category. Made so many hard-on-the-puck plays the game thread even noticed the hard work ethic.
Man, why can’t all our players be Hoglanderish — radivel
The puck Hoogie hounds the puck and doesn’t stop until Pearson gets a shot, a rebound and a very Murray butt goal. It’s Xmas in the ROG!

Pearson gets a goal - just in time to avoid another Westy call out.
The PK was 100% effective. Especially effective in the 3-on-5 arrangement against the worst team in the division’s possibly worst power plays of the series.
Nucks PP scored. That’s good. Was 25% effective. That’s almost good.
It was a sweet Brock snipe right in Murray’s grill house.

Brock is hot as Motte. 2 goals and an assist. Brock loves to face Murray, because he has (luckily) scored more goals (8) on Murray than any other goalie. You know... until Marky McSoftie comes back to the ROG next month to continue the (lucky) M tradition.
Pete keeps his point streak on the board with a goal and an assist. And Pete’s not picky either. He’ll take out Murray’s garbage and put it in the bin when needed.

3 Game NUCKS W I N Streak!!! That’s pretty good. String 20 of those together over the compressed season and we’ll forget about the preseason games. 60 wins in a 56 game season is how you beat the odds and the stat-heads.
Best 1st period of the series. How do we know this? Shot count was 11-10 Sens and the Nucks led 2-0 after the 1st.
Motte had 7 hits in the game. Not only can he score, he plays the hard hitting game too.
THE BAD:
Still too many shots against. Holtby faced 37 and worse, the Nucks bakery gave out 7 turnovers. The hot stinky one in the 2nd on the Nucks PP was another blueline bobble. Not our fav bobble style. Fortunately Hotlby had the de-bobbling tools ready for the big save.
Huggie got power-forward-D-skooled by Chabot on the lone Sens goal.
Pearson seemed to believe skating is not part of the game. At least skating swiftly. However, his insurance goal in the 3rd, ensured that swiftness isn’t everything.
Special Ed. The Nucks are on the PK. Eddie is on the PK. Eddie takes a penalty when the PK was barely started. Great. Nucks brilliant 3 man PK makes the Sens 5-on-3 PP look stupid. Or maybe it was the pathetic Sens PP made the Nucks PK look brilliant.
Here’s the rough lumber and wood-chucking section of the program.
I know, why is the bestest, beastest part of hockey in the BAD section? Probably just to see if Zan still reads NM recaps and fumes at the internet injustice.
THE LOVELY:
Demmers plays 2 near-zero GA games. What’s Holby to do?
Get on the GF scoreboard.
Great team game. Pretty much. Other than the times where the team game drooped a little and the oopsies peaked a little.
Brock has 6 goals on the season. Tied with that Toffee guy for the league lead.
3 Game NUCKS W I N Streak!!! WOOOOOOO!!!
Can’t type that enough. The Canucks looked like a team that can compete with any some a couple teams for the full 60 50 minutes.
Don’t take me seriously, but you can take this seriously... The Nucks outscored the Sens 16-3 in the series. Do that every 3 game series... for say... 20 times and well... you know... good things happen.
Canucks are #1 in the NHL for most goals scored with 35. What about leading the league with GA, is that lovely? Shush! It’s a tie. With the Sens.
REEL TIME:
The 2 Johns are re-united to call this sweep game.

Let’s sit back in the Green and Blue room and enjoy the good times with the boys. And their coach. Who isn’t getting fired this week after all. All blue screen until 7:23.
Listen in as Boeser, Holtby, Hughes and Coach Green discuss Vancouver's 4-1 victory. https://t.co/b0HyrDTVy4

Last week we or maybe it was just me, wanted a sweep of the Sens series. Nah... we all did. And even better, so did the Nucks.
After the Haberdashing we witnessed in the ROG last week we realised they were lucky to get a win at the track meet. Or were they?
Maybe it’s all a sandbag display to get those eastern (and western) teams to play down a notch. 6 to 7 notches, ideally. The Nucks have proven they can beat the last place team on most any night.
Now they have the chance to beat the not last place teams on the road. In 6 games! FFS!
Nucks don’t return to the ROG and a proper timezone until almost mid-February. That’s like next month.
Can’t worry about that now. That’s for next week’s binge-drinking threads.
What we can do is savour the streak. And keep our spirits bright. Or dark if you keep the good stuff in a cabinet.
