DALLAS STARS vs TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

It’s been a playoff like no other. A play-in round, some stunning upsets, the emergence of a couple teams with bright futures, and in the end two teams that outlived hockey in a way we’ve never seen before. The Tampa Bay Lightning breezed through the competition in the Eastern bubble, and did it all without Steven Stamkos in the lineup, erasing the memory of their shocking sweep at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets last year. The Dallas Stars took down the highly favoured Vegas Golden Knights with outstanding goaltending and smothering defence.

And while the Bolts don’t expect to have Stamkos back for tonight, they’ve hardly struggled without him. It’s a big test for the Dallas Stars, who spent most of this season shutting down some pretty vaunted offences in Calgary, Colorado and Vegas.
