CANUCKS NEWS: Harman Dayal of The Athletic made waves on Twitter with his grade of a C+ for the Jim Benning regime thus far. Consider it Mediocre Wars 2.0, which was a high bar to scale in and of itself.

An update from former Canucks stars Kevin Bieksa and Ryan Kesler on their podcast, ‘Kes and Juice’, which on pause indefinitely. Sorry to see it go (maybe?) but they’re said to have a new project in the works.

A couple of new podcast episodes out, with a new one from Roxy Fever, featuring J.D. Burke (EliteProspects) and Justin Morissette (Sportsnet 650):

And also a new from the boys over at Cap Space Wins Cups:

Utica Comets expert Cory Hergott of Canucks Conversation interviewed Reid Boucher in a new piece for Patreon subscribers. If you haven’t subscribed, I would recommend it. I always liked Boucher. Had a good shot and decent offensive instincts. Not sure he ever got a fair shot, but I would love to seem him on the Canucks again one day.

In his 31 Thoughts column, Elliotte Friedman talks about Micheal Ferland, who says he was not ready to return when he did last season. He’s symptom free, though not 100% yet. Personally, even if play returns, I’m not sure Ferland should. It seems to risky, but who knows. For his sake, I just hope he doesn’t rush back. [Sportsnet]

And on a lighter note, here is former Canuck Nic Dowd’s Very Good Dog:

AROUND THE NHL: Gotta be honest, I’m more and mroe convinced this thing will happen with regards to the playoffs happening. Will it work well? Who knows, but I think we’ll see some hockey here soon. Here’s what a play-in bracket would look like:

And on that note, an NHLPA vote on a 24 team structure will take place tonight, per TSN’s Darren Dreger.

So stay tuned on that front. It may not be long before we have actual hockey-based content for you folks.

In honor of SB Nation’s Underdog Week, our friends from Calgary wrote about Theo Fleury and his career:

Greg Wyshynski of ESPN interviewed Arizona Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet on a variety of topics:

And here is CanucksArmy writer Dani Huntley on 2020 draft prospect Marco Rossi:

Happy Friday everybody! Stay safe and keep your eyes and ears open for more NHL ‘return to play’ news.
