How much did you know about Patrik Sundstrom?

Probably not a whole not. I know I didn’t. That’s why on this week’s Power Of The Pure-L — the under quarantine version of Power Of The Towel — I broke down Sundstrom’s 1983-84 season, the first time a Canuck had broken the 90 point barrier. It’s pathetic that it took 14 years for that to happen, but the Canucks through their first 20 years of existence were not exactly a model franchise in the NHL.

I also discussed The Game. No not the mid-2000’s rapper, but the book by Ken Dryden. Generally considered the best hockey book ever written, I go over why it holds a special place for me and why it’s the perfect book to read with all this free time you have now.
