Imperfect Jim Scores a Win | The Quickie Podcast

That doesn’t make the entire offseason a win, despite the impactful acquisition of defenceman Nate Schmidt.

The last seven days were a roller coaster of emotions for Canucks fans. Thankfully, it ended on a good note.

That range of emotions is reflected on this last batch of Quickie episodes, in what likely is the last batch of the season.

Enjoy and for those who have listened in at any point throughout the season, I appreciate you tuning in. It wasn’t always easy to drum up content during a five-month hockey hiatus, but the listens kept coming in and for that, I’m grateful.

What to watch for at the draft

Aside from dissecting how the Canucks might make noise at the draft, I had my eye on the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils and Ottawa Senators.

Suffice to say that all of those teams made some...interesting draft day decisions.

Disappointing Day for Jimbo

Last Tuesday is when we found out that players such as Toffoli were headed to market. This was the first sign that a number of the Canucks free agents would not be returning.

Embrace Better Defence

This was an episode for all of those who were turning their nose up at an Ekman-Larsson trade.

Thankfully...there was a better move to be made
