TV: HAHA, NO. RADIO: SN650. STREAMING: CANUCKS.COM

After a bad weekend contest in Utah (apart from Team Canada, has anyone ever had a good time in Salt Lake City?) the Canucks are back in action tonight in Abbotsford, BC. No, really.

Raspberry Capital. Huh. A fairly NHL-heavy lineup for the ‘home’ team tonight, though you get the feeling that this game, and the next one Wednesday which will feature a different looking bottom 6, no doubt, is a last chance audition for some guys to prove why they shouldn’t shuffle off to (a few hours east of) Buffalo. That 4th line of Jay Beagle, Tim Schaller and Jake Virtanen aren’t exactly safe, though Schaller’s the most likely cut of the 3. We also have Loui Eriksson on line 3, and Sven Baertschi on the top line with Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser not yet having settled their plans for next week.
Jacob Markstrom will get the start in goal tonight, his last start was a 6-1 win in Edmonton, and that means we should see Thatcher Demko either Wednesday against Ottawa, or the next night as they wrap up the preseason with a visit from the Arizona Coyotes.
Roster update: The #Sens have published the team's 25-player roster for Monday's pre-season game @Canucks in Abbotsford, B.C. pic.twitter.com/1ipKijvwvL

We do know that Markstrom’s former backup Anders Nilsson will get the start against his old squad, but don’t have the scratches for the Sens just yet. We’re still awaiting word that they’ve made their way to the arena after scheduling their morning skate at UBC.
PREGAME CHATTER:
There were more cuts today by both of tonight’s teams: 11 by the Sens and 4 by the Canucks as they sent Reid Boucher, Ashton Sautner, Francis Perron and Zane McIntyre to Utica.
"Everyone is fighting for jobs, so you've got to go out and work hard." Expect @Jake_Virtanen to bring it tonight playing in his hometown of Abbotsford. pic.twitter.com/ggnNOZe9Bo

“It’ll be cool to get a chance here on the big stage to see what we can do…”#Sens Drake Batherson, Nick Paul and Logan Brown talk about their line being reunited for tonight’s game against the Vancouver Canucks. pic.twitter.com/rMyM5tht2f

And before the Canucks corner of the internet explodes in a very uncharacteristic display of rage, the team released a new 30 second video heading into Season 50, and I will just let you see if you can figure out why some people are going to lose their proverbial shit...

As for me, I know why it is the way it is. Everyone will need to chill. So, park yourselves in front of your device and enjoy the game, folks.
