BOSTON BRUINS VS COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS- 7:15PM EDT/4:15PM PDT- (Series tied 2-2)

The start time is bumped back 15 minutes to allow for the broadcast of the Kentucky Derby to finish. Neat. The Bruins are coming off a big Game Four win and have home ice advantage in what now becomes a best of 3. It was the first game that either team won by more than a goal, and we can expect some pushback from the Jackets tonight, who weren’t happy with the way they let the Bruins back into the series last time.

The Bruins likely won’t be making any changes for tonight, as they got a pretty solid effort from their bunch in the win. It’s equal parts encouraging and worrisome that Brad Marchand hasn’t been a factor in this series so far. It’s not normal for him to not be in on stuff, and it feels very much like a big game is coming from the vile lil turd...

As for Columbus, I don’t anticipate any changes here either, just John Tortorella reminding his team to get back to what got them there. They do need to avoid giving that Bruins PP too many opportunities though, and take advantage of the ones they’re given.

SAN JOSE SHARKS VS COLORADO AVALANCHE- 10:00PM EDT/7:00PM PDT- (Series tied 2-2)

This series has been interesting in that no one can seem to build any momentum. After one team ones, we get a pretty solid response from the losers in the next game. Going by that deeply scientific method, this tells us that we should expect a San Jose win tonight. Honestly, it’s hard to call. Both of these teams are getting good offence some nights, others they’re ice cold and the same applies to the goalies. You’d have better luck flipping a coin here. I guess you’ll just have to watch.
