COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS VS BOSTON BRUINS- 7:30PM EDT/4:30PM PDT- (Columbus leads 2-1)
Game Three ended with a bit of animosity between these two teams, most of it centering around Brad Marchand being a bastard yet again. For some reason, the NHL made it worse a) because NHL gonna NHL and b) because they will always seemingly do whatever it takes to make people who use tinfoil as a head-covering believe that they’re immune from prosecution. Long story short, if Marchand does the suspendable act this game that he did in the last time, they’re totally gonna suspend him for sure.
And it’s probably in Marchand’s best interest, and the Bruins for that matter for him to be on something resembling his best behaviour. Otherwise, they’re going to be facing an elimination game on Saturday in Boston, and the internet will be inundated with the tales of the long suffering sports fans from that region, who just can’t seem to catch a break.
COLORADO AVALANCHE VS SAN JOSE SHARKS- 10:00PM EDT/7:00PM PDT- (San Jose leads 2-1)
Logan Couture and Timo Meier had big games on Tuesday night, and if the Avs don’t get things turned around they’re gonna find themselves in a similar situation to the one the Bruins might be facing, except that they’ll have to try and stay alive on the road. Philipp Grubauer needs to shut the door, but he’s also going to have to get some help from the Avs defence, and give him some goal support as well. They’re not out of it yet, and they certainly have the horses to get back into this race, but something something sharks and blood in the water. I wonder if that applies to snow, too?
