The Boston Bruins can advance to the Stanley Cup Finals with a win over Carolina tonight because life is unfair.

Is this the last call for the Bunch of Jerks? If they don’t change a few things tonight, the Evil Empire that is the Boston Bruins will be getting another shot at the Cup and no one who is a decent human should want to see that.

They need to fix their power play. They need to not take penalties. And they need to somehow score against a Bruins goalie that is on the hottest streak of his entire career. Wow, this seems really familiar...

Curtis McElhinney should get the start again tonight. He was good in Game 3, and a big game again from the veteran goalie will give them a fighting chance. It looks like there’s no other changes for the Canes, as they try to become the first team since 2014 to come from 3-0 to win a series (and Canes Captain Justin Williams did it with the Philadelphia Flyers to the Bruins in 2010).

The Bruins will be without Chris Wagner. Wagner suffered an arm injury blocking a shot in Game 3, and will be replaced by Noel Acciari. I’d like to say that Tuukka Rask is due for an off game, but honestly it doesn’t look like it’s in the cards. But, if the Canes can pull off a win tonight, anything is possible. They’ve got the horses to get it done, they just need a bounce to go their way.

On this date in 1983 IRON MAIDEN released Piece of Mind, their 4th album. We’ve got a couple classics from that album for you today: ‘The Trooper’ and ‘Die With Your Boots On’, both pretty fitting heading into tonight’s game:
