CAROLINA HURRICANES VS NEW YORK ISLANDERS- 7:00PM EDT/4:00PM PDT (Carolina leads 2-0)

After dropping the first two games at home, the New York Islanders probably need a bounce or two to go their way. It’s probably not going to help that the Hurricanes look like they could have Andrei Svechnikov back in the lineup tonight. Svechnikov has been out since that fight with Alexander Ovechkin in Game 3 of the series against the Washington Capitals. They could also get Jordan Martinook back as well. What the Isles need to do is get through the stifling Carolina defence, who really haven’t given the Isles a sniff in this series. At the end of the day though, what’s killing the Islanders is they simply haven’t played as well as they did in the 4 games it took them dispatch the Pittsburgh Penguins. I don’t want to take any credit away from the ‘Canes, but the Isles need to show up tonight or they can start planning their off-season now.

DALLAS STARS VS ST LOUIS BLUES- 9:30PM EDT/6:30PM PDT- (St Louis leads 2-1)

After a tough loss Monday night, the Stars are looking to bounce back and send this back to St Louis tied up at 2 games a piece. After a fairly eventful Game 3, there’s going to be a focus on officiating tonight, and embellishment is on the menu, no doubt. Say what you will, but if you’re screaming about another team diving, especially during the playoffs, you’re completely denying your own team does the same thing. They all do it.

The Stars need to come up with a way to keep the Blues in check, and that means a big game from Ben Bishop tonight. They’re also going to have to do the dirty work in the slot and on the forecheck, something that’s not always easy against a team with a defence like the Blues have. The Blues might have a tougher time of dispatching this team, as the Stars already battled back against Nashville after being down 2-1 to the Preds.
