Gamethread #57: Canucks vs Sharks

Canucks look for that elusive win against some fish.

NHL: Vancouver Canucks at San Jose Sharks Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

In the last 10 games against the Sharks, the Canucks have earned three points. The Canucks play the Sharks twice in 5 days.

The Sharks have two defenseman that have combined for over 100 points. All of the Canucks defenders have less than 100 points. Luckily (our new defenseman next year) Erik Karlsson may miss this game, which only leaves Brent Burns and his 56 points.

You know what will get Vancouver into the playoffs? Winning division games. It was a good start (and lucky) start against the Flames Saturday. Now the Canucks have to play good games back to back.

The Sharks have 4 lines that cause havoc at a fast speed. The Canucks have been relying on 2 lines to create offense. Once the Canucks can get a third line that can score, then I will start getting excited about this being a playoff team.

I’m not sure if anyone actually reads this except my mom (Waves), so tell me if the Canucks should sign Marky to a longer contract next year or just ride it out until Demko is ready.
