VANCOUVER CANUCKS vs BUFFALO SABRES
1:00PM PST ROGERS ARENA, VANCOUVER, BC
TV: SPORTSNET. RADIO: SN650.
OPPOSITION BLOG: DIE BY THE BLADE
After a pretty impressive performance against the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night, the Canucks have actually had a couple days off to rest after that insane road trip. It’s also allowed for more of the that long list of injured forwards to heal up, and we could see multiple returnees for this matinee affair against the Canucks 1970 expansion cousins, the Buffalo Sabres. After years of spinning their wheels, the Sabres look like they might be ready to give the long suffering fans in Buffalo some playoff games this season. It’s kind of fitting that they’re a team that’s pretty similar to the Canucks, given their shared histories. And to make the game even more special, the NHL gave the Canucks permission to wear the skate jerseys today, and they’re going to warm up in the Flying V jerseys, to give it a real retro feel.
LINEUPS:
Could be “one, two or maybe three” guys back for the game tomorrow, said Coach Green, who was then asked specifically about Ferland and added: “Good chance we’ll see him tomorrow.” pic.twitter.com/kdjd1oXeeU

Yes, they could actually see Michael Ferland, Jay Beagle and Brandon Sutter back tomorrow, and look far more like the October lineup (on paper at least).

Gonna be fun to watch Elias Pettersson and Jack Eichel go head to head, as well as Quinn Hughes vs a bunch of guys named Rasmus.
Bo Horvat is featured on today’s episode of NHL Network’s ICE TIME, where they profile different Captains around the league. If you don’t get the channel, we have a clip for ya!
GAME DAT BATTLE HYMN:
Buffalo isn’t known for being a town that’s produced a lot of metal bands, but they did give the world Malevolent Creation and some band called Cannibal Corpse. Today we’re gonna go back to 1987, and the pre-CC band of original vocalist Chris Barnes. Off their 1987 untitled demo, this is ‘Violent Slaughter’.
