Gamethread #17: Canucks vs Jets

Canucks look to rebound in Winnipeg after crappy game.

The Canucks stunk it up last night. They really did. That’s the problem with winning. When you start winning, then bad nights really stand out more than they should. I wonder how many times the phrase “bounce back” will be used to describe this game. (there is one from me) Tyler Myers get to go back to Winnipeg and look at a team whose defense has been obliterated over the offseason. No Buff, no Trouba...no him. The Jets are still fast and big, but not as scary as in past years.

Having said that, the Canucks haven’t beat the Jets since Dec 16, 2016 and haven’t won in the Peg since Feb 3, 2015. The Canucks need a win tonight. The team needs to stop taking stupid penalties. (Looking at you J.T. Miller) The team needs to get its legs moving quickly and score first. (Canucks 5-0 WHEN SCORING FIRST!!!)

Tim Schaller needs to step it up. It’s a contract year. He needs to score 20.

Let’s go Canucks....get a win.
