Gamethread #21: Canucks vs Avalanche

Canucks face off against the Avs for the first time this year.

Well, so much for Bill Murray being a good luck charm. The Canucks are coming off a loss that showed the problem with this team. Contact. Any team that can slow down the Canucks if they lay the body into them. A neutral zone trap also gives the Canucks fits. I know I shouldn’t be openly giving away secrets, but no one reads anyways.

The Avs are a team that should be in the playoffs this year. The Injury Fairies knows this and are taking their pound of flesh early. No Mikko Rantanen, no problem so far as Nathan MacKinnon and Cole “rookie of the year” Makar are carrying this team.

This game should be high flying as both team like to get the puck and skate. The Avs have had games where they have score nine goals and six goals. Of course the opposite end of the spectrum could be seen in their last game as the McDavid got six point against them.

To say that a win is necessary in November, is not being over-dramatic. Parity is here.

Go Canucks Go!
