As they prepare for a brutal 3 games in 4 night swing through California, the Canucks made a couple player moves today. Ashton Sautner was recalled from Utica, while Oscar Fantenberg was sent to the Canucks AHL affiliate.
Sautner has appeared in 4 games for the Comets so far this season, recording one assist. As Fantenberg has been recovering from a concussion suffered in the preseason in a game against the Ottawa Senators.

Sautner is unlikely to get into the lineup without someone (knock on wood) going down with an injury. The Comets, who are off to an incredible 7 game win streak to start the season, will likely welcome another player with NHL experience into the lineup as they look to keep the streak going.
In other Canucks news, Kirk McLean was named to the 2020 Inductee Class at the BC Sports Hall Of Fame today. Congrats to Captain Kirk, the latest Canuck Alumni to be enshrined in the hall!
Ready for one of the best goals you’ll ever see? Here’s Canucks prospect Nils Hoglander showing off his sick mitts.

Tomorrow night, they can finish the month of October with an 8-3-1 record if they can defeat Los Angeles. We’ll have our game preview tomorrow, and a full wrap up of the action including a new episode of Sippin’ On A 40 following the game.
