Gamethread #10: Canucks vs Capitals

The leaders in the Metro division stop in Vancouver to face the surging Canucks

NHL: Washington Capitals at Vancouver Canucks Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Canucks have a had a few days off to be over-analyzed to death. The Caps are playing the second night of a back-to-back games. The Caps lost to the Oilers last night in O/T so the Canucks might want to open the game with some speed to try and tire out the Caps by the third. Of course that might play into the Caps favor as they are a fast-skilled team that shoot from anywhere and often.

While we talk about J.T. Miller and Petey and their point a game pace, John Carlson has 21 points in 12 games. The Canucks could take some notes from the Caps PP, as it is running at 26%. ——>But, the Canucks had multiple PP goals last game? No, Bo did. The Canucks better stay out of the box tonight. (Looking at you Timmy Schaller)

Also...can somebody fix the third line. I realize Sutter is only playing because he’s needed on the PK. Oh....and he is a foundational player.

Let’s cheer for Caps tired legs!
