OPPOSITION BLOG: WINGING IT IN MOTOWN
The last game of this first Eastern foray goes tonight as the Canucks take on the Red Wings in the Motor City. While things between interconference opponents don’t usually get testy, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Wings come out hard with the memory of the 5-1 beating the Canucks laid on them a week ago still fresh in their memories.
9 Miller - 40 Pettersson - 6 Boeser
70 Pearson - 53 Horvat - 17 Leivo
79 Ferland - 20 Sutter - 18 Virtanen
59 Schaller - 83 Beagle - 64 Motte
23 Edler - 57 Myers
43 Hughes - 8 Tanev
4 Benn - 51 Stecher
No changes from the last game, which saw the Rangers battle back after the Canucks took their foot off the gas. I’m sure that the reason Brandon Sutter isn’t a healthy scratch tonight is simply because he’s taken responsibility for his poor play and it won’t happen again tonight. I am also confident that he, and the rest of the Canucks took Jacob Markstrom out for this fucking steak dinner right here.

Not a good sign when you can’t crack this team’s top 6.
Also, this is a thing tonight, apparently.
GAME DAY CHATTER
Oh, Jake. You so crazy.
"I want to be the guy that works and gets the puck back to the guys that see the ice better than most guys in the league. - J.T. Miller on his linemates pic.twitter.com/LZrgPGJFfq— Vancouver Canucks (@Canucks) October 22, 2019
GAME DAY BATTLE HYMN
Vancouver’s UNLEASH THE ARCHERS have a new EP out on Napalm Records, and they’ve just released a new single that pays homage to a long forgotten Canadian one hit wonder. The band TEAZE had a minor hit with this track back in 1979, and the band has done a great job with it, especially the vocals of Brittney Hayes. Always happy to support this band.
