Gamethread #6: Canucks vs Blues Oct 17, 2019

The Canucks and their 3 game winning streak go up against the Stanley Cup Champs.

I have a cup and it’s half-way filled. (Choose your own beverage to visualize this.)

If you’re a glass is half-way full type of person, then the Canucks are on fire right now. Three game winning streak, Alex Edler has a point a game, J.T. Miller is better than advertised, Quinn Hughes is the best Canucks Defenseman ever (according to NM’s Kyle Bhawan) and the PK is almost unbeatable.

If you think the glass is half-empty, Bo Horvat is being crushed by the weight of the “C”. The PP is only in the middle of the league. Michael Ferland is not doing...anything so far. The team is being outshot. The Canucks can’t win on the road.

Tonight will be an early season test against the Stanley Cup champs, St. Louis Blues. The Blues are coming off two consecutive losses and a visit to the White House. I’m sure President Trump told them how to get back to being tremendous champions.

The Canucks got 3 out of 4 points from the matchup last year and they need to start this 4 game road trip with a win to try and keep pace with those stinkin’ Oilers.
