Gamethread: Canucks vs Coyotes

The "Brock-less" era begins tonight for the Canucks.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Canucks are cursed....or so they say. I believe in this case that Brock was not very smart. Why was he trying to Dan Hamhuis hipcheck Clutterbuck? Especially in that area of the ice? I understand wanting to hit the guy hard because he is a pain in the ass, but that was just a poor decision.

The Canucks face Arizona in the "Battle for Dahlin" tonight. Arizona has looked like it doesn't want the best chance for the # 1 pick, as they have gone 7-2-1 in their past ten games. Clayton Keller is now the 2nd best rookie in the league and leads the Coyotes in scoring. Some of success for the Coyotes of late goes to Aantti Raanta, who has won 8 of his last 10 games with 2 shutouts.

The Canucks seem to like overtime games at home lately. They don't won them very often but at least they are giving their fans extra time to watch them before the end of the year. The probable end of Boeser's year means there is a new first line winger:

My my, what a different team from opening night. This is the type of team that causes problems for the opposition. Really fast lines or really slow.

I used the NHL lottery simulator.....the Canucks won. Jinx!
