Preview & Gamethread: Canucks vs Islanders

The Canucks continue their lose in O/T homestand against a team from New York.

The Boeser we love versus the Coquitlam boy. That will be the storyline for the night. I choose Brock just because I grew up in PoCompton. Realistically there are arguments for and against each for the Calder. Barzal gets to play on the PP with Tavares and even strength with Eberle and Ladd. Brock gets to play on the PP with the Sedins, but he leads a team who can't score, in scoring.

The Islanders come into Vancouver having beat the Canucks in their last four meetings. The Islanders have been playing their way out of the playoffs, going 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and they are 5 points out of a wildcard. You have to wonder what Tavares will do if they don't make the playoffs this year. The Islanders are missing a quality goalie and the ability to play defense, kind of like the Canucks.

Speaking of playoffs, the Canucks are still in it mathematically. They have a 0.0003% chance of making it.

yes!

No....there isn't.

It would be great for the Canucks to win tonight 6-0, with Brock getting all the goals. He could catch Barzal in points and clinch the Calder. And more importantly, someone would win a million dollars in the Safeway score and win contest.
