Gamethread #30: Canucks vs Wild

New, comments

Meeting number three for these teams

NHL: Minnesota Wild at Vancouver Canucks Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

If I told you last July that the Canucks would lose 18 of their first 29 games, would you have believed me? Of course you would. If I told you that LA, Chicago and St Louis would be behind them in the standings, you would have laughed at me. I’m not saying the Canucks are in a great position, but things could be worse.

The fans get to see the newest Canuck, Josh Leivo, tonight. People had the expectation that he would just slot in where Leipsic was but Eriksson was skating with Bo in practice. Jay Beagle gets to return tonight as well. His first 5 games were entertaining to watch. Wherever he gets in front of the goalie, he was jawing away at the defensemen.

The Wild have lost 3 in a row, but beat up on the Canucks last time 6-2. Let’s hope the PP can get going and the Canucks can get scoring from other lines that don’t have a Petey on them.
