Would you be happy with a Canucks team this year that misses the playoffs but beats Edmonton every single game? I would. Last game was pretty sweet, except the Canucks offence disappeared after the first period. That was not a 60 minute game.
Halfway through the year after tonight’s game and who would have thought Calgary would be in first place in the Pacific? Not me. David Rittich is to blame for this. We all know Mike Smith is a sieve, but never expected Rittich to appear to save this team.
The question tonight will be, can the Cnaucks stop Johnny Hockey? The Flames are a high scoring team and Johnny is the engine. Dustin Byfuglien tried to take him out of the lineup for us, but failed.

I am hoping Bo’s line is able to get things going tonight. Having 2 lines able to put up points makes it easier for our 3rd and 4th line to get some points. Of course in theory it sounds easy but Calgary’s 3rd and 4th line are pretty dame good as well. So if Sven returns tonight, what will the lineups turn into?
In the end if the Canucks pull this out, the rabble rousers calling for the playoffs will get even louder. I can live with that.
