THE ROUNDUP- Dec 14/18: Frostys Aren’t Actually Good and more

Another day, another instance of Bo Horvat showing he is the Captain whether you like it or not.

CANUCKS NEWS: As far as road trips go, you could look at it in two ways. You can choose to look at the scores, and say “You know, 5 of a possible six points? That’s not bad at all!” Or, you can look at how, especially in the last two games the Canucks played about a grand total of 18 minutes of hockey and say “that... that seems less than good”. And while the comeback worked in Columbus, and they got the victory that they really didn’t deserve, the same couldn’t be said for last night. Not the not deserving part. They had no business even being close here. No, I meant the walking out with two points. One thing you can say is that comeback was all on the shoulders of Bo Horvat. Drawing the call that got the PP for Boeser to make it 3-2, and then getting the tying goal, that’s vintage early 90’s Trevor Linden kind of stuff right there. The kind of stuff that got him the captaincy despite his youth.

Let’s take a look at what’s out there for you to read today, hmm? The Athletties rolls with a Die Hard theme... JPat’s Takeaways from Nashville (complete with hot chicken stains)... PITB with the post game wrap... The Province has stuff here and here... With the World Juniors fast approaching, all eyes are on who starts in goal, and Canucks prospect Michael DiPietro is in a real battle for the starting job...
