Foreshadowing for tonight:
Guddy spent about 10 minutes working with Jake after practice on fighting technique. Me thinks there is a tilt in the neat future for Virtanen

I’m not sure this might be the best thing for Jake. He is finally scoring and playing a better 200 foot game. I would hate to see him hurt his hand on Phaneuf’s cement head. I would prefer some hard hits and a couple goals.
The Canucks get some young guy named Brock back tonight. Let’s hope he is not needed and can rest on the bench for most of the third period.....much like Ilya Kovalchuk did in Kings 5-2 win in Edmonton on Sunday. Ilya and Willie don’t seem to be the ideal pair. Willie likes a 200 foot game...Ilya likes skating around. Ilya likes to score...Willie likes 1-0 games.
I’m calling this a must win game. With all the other Pacific teams having games in hand, the Canucks cannot afford to lose to a struggling team like the Kings.
