Gamethread #19:Canucks vs Rangers

The road trip of points continues

NHL: New York Rangers at Vancouver Canucks Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacific division first place Canucks are in the Big Apple to face a Rangers team that is struggling to find an identity in the muddled Metropolitan. The Canucks are coming off a terrible 3rd period in Buffalo, in which a point was so much worse than the 2 they should have had. When Loui and Roussel are carrying the team offensively, you might want to have a conversation with the rest of the team. The special teams of the Canucks have not been special as the PP is down to 19.6% and the PK is at 80%.

The Canucks also go into tonight’s game facing a goalie that dominates them. King Henrik has only lost to the Canucks once in his last nine starts against them. The Rangers have beat the Canucks the last three times they have played.

This is the first time in awhile that there is no Canuck connection to the Rangers team, so it might be hard to get up for this. At least Twitter might have some good stuff to read during the game.
