Gamethread #11: Canucks vs Coyotes

Back to back games on the road.

NHL: Arizona Coyotes at Vancouver Canucks Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Canucks keep finding ways to win. They also keep finding ways to get injured. Edler and Sven are out for sure. Brock and Tanev are game time decisions. I know we talking about giving Edler and Guds a rest, but this isn’t what I had in mind. I think it a knew issue ,but the way he went down, but you’ll never get a straight answer out of the organization. 10 games and 12 points makes Neil B look like a genius so far, but I’m sure even he wouldn’t have thought the points would have come in this manner. Bo Horvat could have won the mayor’s race the way he has been playing. If injuries keep coming, we might need his dad to suit up.

The Coyotes are struggling so far. They have an issue that Canucks fans can relate to. The Coyotes can’t score. Clayton Keller leads the team with 5 points. The two names you would expect to help produce goals aren’t. Alex Galchenyuck and Alex Goligoski have 0 points between them . Michael Grabner has 1 point so far and Dylan Strome has 2. Hard to win games that way.

So this game should be a close one on paper. The question becomes is anyone not named Horvat able to bring some points to the net for the Canucks. Let’s hope so.
