2017 STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 1- Nashville @ Pittsburgh

The quest for the Cup is down to 2 teams. One who've had a lot of success, and know what it takes to win it all. The other swimming in uncharted waters, but riding a wave of enthusiasm that has got them 4 wins from hockey's Holy Grail.

If you like yellow, this is your Stanley Cup final, buddy. The Nashville Predators, led by PK Subban, Pekka Rinne and a defense that gives teams night sweats (and their offense is nothing to sneeze at) against the defending Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, who have displayed their depth and tenacity, outlasting a couple tough challenges from Washington and Ottawa as they look to repeat as champs.

Both teams have suffered some pretty significant injuries, but will get some help with guys like Patrik Hornqvist for Pittsburgh and Mike Fisher for Nashville looking to return tonight. The Penguins stuggled at times with the defensive strategies of the Ottawa Senators, but they face a much tougher challenge with the Nashville Predators. Not only are they a much better team defensively, and have the playoff's best goalie in Pekka Rinne, but they also love to get involved offensively, which will be a key to watch in this series.

As always, we wanna see your predictions below, so let 'em fly.

Also, take a moment to remember Luc Bourdon today. It was 9 years ago that the promising Canucks Dman lost his life in that tragic motorcycle accident. What could have been... RIP Luc.

GAME DAY BATTLE HYMN

As some of you might remember, I told you about the Modified Ghost Festival in Vancouver this past weekend. I went to Saturday night's offering, with 8 kickass metal acts of all types, headlined by MUNICIPAL WASTE, RAZOR and NAILS. It was an amazing night, got to reconnect with old friends and was introduced to an incredible band: MANTAR. They took the stage, just the guitarist and drummer, and blasted out  some insanely heavy tunes that blew away bands with 3x the members. These German dudes kick ass.
