Round 2 of the playoffs begin tonight, as the Nashville Predators take on the St Louis Blues and the Edmonton Oilers look to keep their roll going against the Anaheim Ducks.

Nashville Predators vs. St Louis Blues

5:0 PM PT - Scottrade Center- St Louis, MO

TV: CBC - Radio: N/A

The two upset kings from the West meet in a battle that will likely come down to goaltending. Both squads got lights out performances from their 'keepers, and given the kind of offensive firepower on both teams, this one isn't going to be as boring as giant trashbaby Patrick Kane would like you to believe. In the end, I think the Preds are coming into their own right now, and I fully expect them to move on to the next round.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks

7:30 PM PT - Honda Center- Anaheim, CA

TV: SN - Radio: TSN 1040

Subplots galore here as while the media salivates over the Ryan Kesler matchup against Connor McDavid, it's the other actors in this story that could make the difference. The Oilers got huge performances from Leon Draisaitl (when he wasn't spearing dudes in the balls), Zack Kassian (when he wasn't providing future generations with classic examples of uncalled charging penalties) and Cam Talbot. Watch for the Ducks to do something that the Sharks did not, and that's make life miserable for the Edmonton goalie. There may not be a better team (save for LA) at crease crashing, Also, the Oilers have faced zero adversity all year long. They were the healthiest team in the NHL this season, and only trailed the series against San Jose after losing game 1. This will be the true test if they lose someone to injury or get down two games. And I bet it's one they do not pass.
