T-minus 20 games to go...
If by some luck of the hockey gods that already hate this franchise, Vancouver decides to go 17-1-2 from here on out one of the wild card spots remains remotely possible. I guess there may be a soul or two out there putting money on that possibility.
On the flip side how's that #1 pick looking?

Got a lot of Canadian teams to catch. Frankly the Sharks are doing Vancouver a favor if they beat the Canucks for the second time in a week.
Standing in their way is YOUTH!!1 beginning with Gaunce being freed from Utica and stepping in for the untradable Vrbata. Etem steps in for the injured best winger on Team Europe and Bo and Granlund remain flipped for now. The only guy missing is Markstrom but since the Sharks had a field day at his expense a few days ago, let him rest up.
San Jose gets another crack at us on Saturday before playing the Flames, Oilers and Devils so it's a comfy start to the month for them. At least we can sleep well knowing that they'll probably have to play the Ducks in the first round which is just as unenviable a position as trying to suck more than Edmonton for the #1 draft pick.
God help us all.

Two Questions
1. Is there any rebound left in this group or are we just going to evaluate them period by period from here on out?
2. Only Toronto has won fewer games at home (9). Buffalo and Vancouver (partners in misery!) are next up with 11 and they host the Flames tonight. Would you rather have a better home record or let the Flames win and crawl within two points of Team Tank?
One Observation
Fearless Prediction
The kids play alright and we call it another building block just as we did after the Isles game. The Sharks get their points with a win in regulation and we continue to accept that another L is just shorthand for ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Everyone wins and no blood is spilled. Almost gives ya the warm and fuzzies don't it?
