Ottawa Comes a Callin': Senators @ Canucks

New, comments

Grab your favourite top shelf rye, settle in to a plush, black, leather chair and fully embrace your lifetime appointment to the esteemed order of Canuck fandom. It's the next best thing to a Canadian Senate seat!

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

While we all wait with bated breath for Dan Hamhuis' NTC decision, and speculate about a new landing spot for Radim Vrbata, there is actual hockey to watch tonight.

Fresh off a nice, long rest, and after an all-too-rare win, Vancouver welcomes the Ottawa Senators to town. The Senators are four points behind Pittsburgh for the final Wild-Card berth in the East, and they have two games in hand. They're 6-4-0 over their last 10. Vancouver, meanwhile, must go 20-2-1 the rest of the way to make the playoffs.

Vancouver also welcomes Markus Granlund to the line up. Hopefully his debut, centering the 3rd line, is less amusing than his trade thread.

The sadness meter, as of today:

Expected Lineups

Daniel Sedin -- Henrik Sedin -- Jannik Hansen

Sven Baertschi -- Bo Horvat -- Jake Virtanen

Emerson Etem - Markus Granlund -- Linden Vey
