The Vancouver Canucks begin the post Christmas schedule not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but definitely trending in the wrong direction An under .500 record in today’s NHL is glaringly poor. Winning one of three winnable games last week did them no favors. Tonight they get a Kings team that’s holding on the the last playoff spot in the Western Conference despite losing Jonathan Quick to injury. They do seem to always thrive on beating up the Canucks, and with the struggling power play and Derek Dorsett’s absence, this could become a long night.
The Sedins will be saddled with paired with Jayson Megna to start the game. I guess it’s a nice opportunity for the kid, but I’m not sure I see it. Then again, I didn’t really think Alexandre Burrows would last on that line either. Ryan Miller starts and Alexander Edler draws back in.
Enjoy the game, everyone. Coconuts Go!
