If there is a small silver lining going into tonight’s game it’s that the Canucks will not see Carey Price. But I dare say the Canucks’ shot total from last night was inflated by a bunch of low percentage shots.
Since the Cubs curse-busting win is top of mind today, I’ll just leave these here:

So if I have this right, the Vancouver Canucks equivalent of waiting as long as the Cubs would mean a Stanley Park cup parade in year 2078.

The Ottawa Senators are off to a great start this season under new coaches Guy Boucher and Marc Crawford. They hustled impressively last week when they beat Vancouver 3-0 nine days ago.
Ottawa didn’t do line rushes this morning, so even their Twitter account is a bit unclear on tonight’s lines. But it could look like this:
Mike Hoffman — Kyle Turris — Tom Pyatt
Ryan Dzingel — Derick Brassard — Bobby Ryan
Zack Smith — Jean-Gabriel Pageau — Max McCormick
Matt Puempel — Chris Kelly — Chris Neil
Marc Methot — Erik Karlsson
Dion Phaneuf — Cody Ceci
Mark Borowiecki — Chris Wideman
Mike Condon
Chris Driedger
Senators’ goaltender Craig Anderson has left the team to join his wife, who was just diagnosed with cancer. I know the entire NucksMisconduct family extends our best thoughts and good wishes to the Anderson family.
For the Canucks, Chris Tanev was shaken up last night so Nikita Tryamkin draws in tonight, likely paired with Luca Sbisa. Jon Abbott thinks Alex Edler will be paired with Philip Larsen. Jacob Markstrom starts in net.
Daniel Sedin — Henrik Sedin — Jannik Hansen
Markus Granlund — Brandon Sutter — Loui Eriksson
Sven Baertschi — Bo Horvat — Jake Virtanen
Alexandre Burrows — Brendan Gaunce — Derek Dorsett
Alexander Edler — Philip Larsen
Ben Hutton — Erik Gudbranson
Luca Sbisa — Nikita Tryamkin
Jacob Markstrom
Ryan Miller
Win or lose, let’s hope they bring the effort they did last night.
Go Canucks Go!
Note: Chris Wideman is a late scratch for the Senators. Fredrik Claesson will draw in.
