We may be in Canada but the Vancouver Canucks decided to take part of American Thanksgiving today by showing how grateful they are for Ben Hutton.

Ben Hutton’s extension is for two years (AAV of $2.8 million per season) and as far as I’m concerned, he’s earned every penny. Ben Hutton earned himself a spot in the starting roster last year after surprising everyone in training camp and pre-season.
Before long, he was winning over fans with his strong, confident play on the ice and great personality off of it. After 95 games in the green and blue, Hutton has 3 goals and 26 assists to his name. Most notably, his third and most recent goal came last week when he scored the game winner on a penalty shot in overtime.

There’s a lot to like about this extension, it keeps the fan base happy while also offering a solid bridge deal to a great young defenceman. Also, I’m pretty sure he’s earned this money on gifs alone!
Here, have some dancing Ben Hutton in your life. #Canucks pic.twitter.com/KuLonSX1Sj
