The Vancouver Canucks infirmary grows by one more, as Derek Dorsett is out tonight. Jayson Megna (#46) was called up and will play on the fourth line with Brendan Gaunce and Jack Skille. Jacob Markstrom will start, but Ryan Miller may be healthy enough to back him up. Michael Chaput, who has looked decent during this call-up, will center a second line with Markus Granlund and Loui Eriksson. If Willie Desjardins is fired, his handling of Bo Horvat will likely be a key reason. Also, if his fate is already ordained, this three-day break without games would be the opportunity to dismiss him and get a new coach a few days to work with the team.
Megna, by the way, was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. but raised in Chicago so he’ll relish taking on the Blackhawks tonight:

Scott Darling will start for the Chicago Blackhawks. This will be the ninth game out of 19 that the Canucks will face a back-up goalie. They certainly dodge a bullet not having to face Corey Crawford, who has been outstanding this season.
Saturday Night! Shorty on TV! Lots of reasons to be looking forward to this one. Enjoy, everyone. Coconuts Go!
