Five Hole For Food: Vancouver and Victoria Roll Call

This year's Five Hole For Food tour is back home in BC for the final two dates, today in Victoria and Saturday in Vancouver. We want to know if you will play hockey for food?

It's one of the things that I have grown to love about summer: following the progress of Five Hole For Food as they travel across Canada, playing hockey and raising TONS of food and funds for food banks in each of the host cities. Richard Loat and his team have turned this into one of the biggest hockey-related charity initiatives in the country, with great corporate sponsorship (especially from the NHL and NHLPA), and with spokespersons like TSN's Bob McKenzie, it continues to grow each year.

We're going to have coverage of both days, but today's post is all about finding out who's gonna be there. If you can make it, let us know in the comment section. Today they will be down at Mayfair Shopping Center (a huge improvement from the previous location out in Saanich, closer to downtown and it allows them to have more rinks), so make sure and hunt me down if you're there and say hi. I will be the big lug in the Canucks hat.

Tomorrow they will be on Granville Street to wrap things up, and I am sure there's going to be a lot of people at both events thanks to great weather this time around. I will be taking a ton of pics today, and hope to either see some of you again, or meet you for the first time. And if you're in Vancouver, take the day off and hop the ferry. This is worth calling in sick for!
