The Vancouver Canucks kick off a four-game road trip tonight in Saint Paul against the Minnesota Wild. The Wild own the best home record in the NHL this year at 8-1-0. Since their only home loss of the year, which came against the Nashville Predators on November 5, Minnesota has won three straight at home, outscoring opponents 10-3 during that stretch.
For the Canucks, Jake Virtanen looks as if he will return to the lineup, taking Sven Baertschi's spot. Defenseman Andrey Pedan was recalled from Utica on Monday, but it doesn't look as if he'll make his NHL debut tonight. Ryan Miller is expected to start in net after getting the last game off. Brandon Sutter and Ben Hutton are both still out of the lineup, and both players stayed back in Vancouver.
