Frank Corrado Scores His First NHL Goal

Yea yea, I am late posting this. But in the Canucks' final game of the 2013-14 season they spanked the Calgary Flames 5-1. It was a beautiful thing except, there were two very big distractions in this moment.

1. The Canucks were missing the playoffs

2. Daniel Sedin Paul Byron hit Daniel Sedin into the glass. Dank smacked his head on the stanchion and was semi knocked out. He was stretchered off the ice in what was a scary visual. He's fine though. He was back the next day for the year-end media availability.

So now that all that is done....

Frankie Corrado, the 21-year-old defenceman that the Canucks drafted in the 5th round in 2011, put a nail in the Flames' coffin in this one to make it 3-0. Not a beauty play, but he put it on net!

It was Corrado's first NHL goal in his 18th game. Will we see more goals from him? Yes. Corrado isn't given big minutes very often given the Canucks' depth on D. But early signs show that Corrado may be heading the Chris Tanev route in regards to coolness and reliability.

Belated congrats, Frankie!
