Oh my we have sunk to Nashville levels with our overall record and even goals - for. I'd say that I can't wait for this mad season to end, but I'm still getting a kick out of watching the kids play, and Burrows break out. Every win from here is an added joy in life.

The Canucks are now 5 points behind the new 8th seed in the West: The Damned Phoenix Coyotes. There is still a chance the Canucks can make the playoffs right? Well, Elliott Pap breaks down the scenarios in order for that to happen here. In other words:

-The Canucks are 2-2-1 in their last 5 home games, by the way.

-Daniel Sedin : we like Nicklas Jensen as your replacement! Stay down! Prior to his injury, Dank had no points in 12 games.  He had 1 assist in his last 17 games. He had not scored a goal in 23 games.

-David Booth has not scored a goal in 31 games. He has only 4 assists in that span.

-Zac Dalpe gets sweet tweet for ice time so I am not going to pick on him too much for only having 1 goal and no assists in his last 16 games.

-Brad Richardson had 1 assist in 20 games prior to getting injured. When is he going to return? I thought he was close. We need this guy on the PK, stat.

Speaking of Booth:

Look out, people of Vernon! Stray bullets! Crazy Americans!

-Alex Burrows has 3 goals and 3 assists in his last 2 games! He also has 5 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 games. Is he player of the week yet?

-Nicklas Jensen has 2 goals and 1 assist in his last 3 games.

-Kevin Bieksa and Alex Edler each have 2 assists in their last 2 games. Scorchin'!

It's Nashville. Who gives a rat's ass about Nashville. I would go as far as saying I hate the Preds. I don't know why, exactly. Their just like that itch on your back that you can't quite reach.....

-Nashville lost 5-1 to the Oilers on Tuesday night. I'd laugh, but the same could happen to our injury-riddled, rookie goalie-laden squad.

-The Canucks like to win one-lose one lately, or just lose a shit-ton in a row. The Preds are less consistent. They lost 4 straight to start March, then won 3 in a row, and have now lost 2 in a row. They have scored 5 goals in their 6 losses this month. Kind of sounds familiar.

-Here is a great story on Nashville coach Barry Trotz:

And now for something completely different.....the title of this game preview post has been brought to you by Vince McMahon:
