Chris Tanev Out With Broken Thumb

Unfortunately, the Canucks have another man down. This time it's Chris Tanev, who broke his thumb last game versus the Oilers. Mike Sullivan says he is day-to-day with an upper body injury, but Tanev is expected to be out until after the Olympic Break. Hate to lose a steady, smart guy like Tanev The Manev. Yannick Weber will slot back in and hopefully provide some offence.

Henrik Sedin (ribs) is not ready to return to action yet. Nor is Mike Santorelli.

Remember, the game tonight is starting at 7:30 PST.

A rumor out there: The Canucks are interested in Ray Whitney, who is almost 42 years old but can still put up the points.
