Welcome to another new season of Canucks hockey! This has been a summer of change for Vancouver, that's for sure. Cory Schneider got traded, and Roberto Luongo is still a Canuck. Alain Vigneault got the boot, while John Tortorella took his place. Maxim Lapierre and Mason Raymond are gone, with Brad Richardson and Benn Ferreiro coming in.

The big story right now is that the Canucks expect to have some prospects actually make the team this year. For a few years now, our young draftees have participated in the preseason games, only to mostly end up spending the season in the AHL or junior clubs. We have our last few 1st rounders that were impressive at the Youngstars tournament last week, and they are expected to stand a chance at cracking the roster for the regular season.

We've been waiting to see how all these changes play out, and we'll get the first taste of it tonight against the Sharks. Last we saw our new division rivals, they had just swept us in the 1st round of the playoffs, only to lose to the Kings in the next round.

Time to play. Coconuts go!
