And just like that the Canucks go 2-for-4 on the power play against the Predators. Now I can shut my yap about a futile power play. Hey! They even jumped up one spot in the NHL PP standings. It's a holy church miracle! And his name is Jason Garrison!
We'll see if getting that monkey off their back will continue on against the Blues.
The Blues. A very big possibility that these guys will be the Canucks' first round opponent in the playoffs. So expect some feisty stuff.
The Blues, who own a shockingly mediocre 9-8-1 home record, from here will play 6 of their last 7 regular season games at home. They lost their last game 2-0 to Chicago, on home ice. Their scoring has severely dried up over their past 5 games, scoring only 5 goals. And still they went 3-2 in those games. They are good at keeping the puck out of their net. Maybe the Canucks, playing their second road game in as many nights, may provide the Blues an opportunity.
St. Louis, I still believe, may do some damage in the playoffs this year. Just got that feeling, ya know? Like they are due and no one is giving them a chance.
