Morning, everyone. I hope that when you see "Morning Buzz" you shout it like you're yelling "Mortal Kombat!". I know I've used that one before, but if you haven't done it then you should. "Scare you co-workers Thursday" is always good for a larff. Anyways, got a few Canucks bits, a few from the other assholes around the league. Lets get at it!
>> Every time I've seen
Little Rudy Jordan Schroeder on the point on the power play, I find myself yelling at my T.V, terrifying small children and maybe even punted a small chihuahua that belongs to my friend Brent, but this is what happens when I don't see the Canucks at least giving Chris Tanev a shot on the point on the powerplay. Sure his shot isn't....well, you know. Anyways, Jim Jamieson thinks its worth a shot to give Tanev a try on the power play.
>> Did you ever wonder why the Canucks carry 8 defensemen? Well wonder no more! Both Kevin Bieksa and Keith Ballard are out tonight, which means that
Franklin the Turtle Cam Barker and Andrew Alberts will be in the line up tonight, and they'll be playing together. A little shap from Jason Botchford.
>> If you've read Damien Cox's work then you know he's a turd, if you know he's a turd then there's a chance you've said as much and been "Cox Blocked" on Twitter by the man himself. Daniel Wagner who I normally link to through Pass it to Bulis, has a great piece of the credibility of a certain reporter and it mostly revolves around a Roberto Luongo to the Toronto Maple Leafs trade. Good stuff.
>> And finally, a couple pieces from Canucks Army where Thomas Drance wonders what happened to the Canucks power play and Cam Charron wonders if the Canucks are looking to trade the right goaltender.
That's all for the Canucks this morning. Lets have a look around the league and see what some of those other assholes are up to.
The Other Guys:
>> You never hear anyone bitch about Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland. Ever. But before he explores trades he wants his team to make a playoff push. Caman, it's fucking Detroit. Of course they'll make it.
>> The Boston Bruins have waived Chris Bourque, son Bruins legend and grilled cheese aficionado Ray Bourque.
>> Call it stating the obvious, or just plain old managerial impotence, but Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall says he doesn't sense confidence from his team right now.
>> Mikka Kipprusoff came back and the Calgary Flames won. Imagine that. Now to ride him out for the next 20+ games and just hope for the best, am I right?
>> To end this on a rather sad note, Canadian legend, singer/song writer Stompin' Tom Connors has passed away at the age of 77.
That's all from me today, folks. Enjoy your day. Find a weatherman and slap him in the mouth if you live in the lower mainland. Those assholes said this week was supposed to be nice!
Thanks for reading.
